Home decor with Minder Binders collectibles
If you went to ASU (Arizona State University) in the '70s or '80s, you went to Minder Binders. Your memory might be hazy, depending how much you might have had to drink while you were there, but I'm sure you were there. And if you recall the place, you recall the wild and wacky stuff that was on the walls, hanging from the ceiling, all over the place. My understanding is that it originally came from the special effects department of a minor Hollywood studio, and if you're wondering where all of that stuff is now, I can tell you. At least a little bit, I'm not going to give exact places and names, but rest assured that most of what was auctioned off is safe and sound, and cherished by people like you and me.

The beautiful decor in the photo at the top of this post was done by a good friend of mine who went to ASU the same time I did. We both studied graphic design, and his flair for design really shows here (although professionally he mostly did movie posters, and classic car restorations). This was in place in Los Angeles a few years ago, and if you look up you'll see something that you may recognize, which was a canoe from Minder Binders. My friend's name is Eric, by the way, and if you haven't met him, you should.
This guy is good! I'd imagine that most of the collectibles that were rescued from Minder Binders are in garages, and displayed in a less glamorous way. Here's what I have in my garage:
To me, this is the perfect representation of what I saw at Minder Binders in the 1980s. It's mildly obscene, but only mildly. I'm in Glendale, Arizona, by the way.
If you have a Minder Binders collectible, I'd like to know that it's safe and sound. You can comment here if you'd like, but remember that this is the internet, so only first names and the name of your city please. Or you can just be completely anonymous if you'd like. It's just nice for me to know that there are people like you out there who understand how magical Minder Binders was.
